Italian velvet-type fabric in bottle green. A 100% natural fabric woven from cotton with a characteristic, very short pile. An ideal choice for sewing a suit or blazer, as the velvet is substantial, non-stretch with a tight weave and a matte finish. It can also be widely used in interior decoration, for example for making curtains or cushions.

Velour is a thin variety of velvet. It has a low, soft and fluffy pile on one side, often called nap. Most fabric types are created by interlacing two threads in a way characteristic to them. In the case of velvets, there are four additional threads that form the pile. They are inserted between the two main threads as cut loops (sheared velvet) or uncut loops (looped velvet). This is what makes this material so soft and very pleasant to the touch.
