Italian velvet fabric in brown. A 100% natural fabric woven from cotton with a characteristic, very short hair. An ideal proposition for sewing a costume or jacket, because velvet is fleshy, inelastic with a dense weave and is matte. It can also be widely used in interior decoration, e.g. to sew curtains or pillows.

Velour is a thin variety of velvet. On the one hand, it has a low, soft and fluffy coat, often called fuzz. Most types of fabrics are made by interweaving two threads in a specific way. In the case of velvets, we are dealing with an additional four threads forming the fleece. They are inserted between two mainly threads in the form of slit (sheared velvet) or uncut (loop velvet) loops. This is what makes this material so soft and very pleasant to the touch. Thanks to the specific weaving method, it is still distinguished by a deep shine and reflects light beautifully!
