Silk satin is a thick and light fabric with a smooth surface, made in a satin weave. Its additional advantages are its smoothness and durability, as well as how well it drapes, it is not see-through, and is pleasant to the touch. On one side it is matte, on the other side it is nobly glossy. It can be used to create flowing dresses, delicate blouses, skirts, scarves, and shawls.
