Warm fabrics, or how to prepare for the winter

Do you know what fabrics for the winter will be the most fashionable this year? Negative temperatures do not always have to be associated with a thick, oversizable sweater. And although the dense wool is timeless and versatile, the ideal material for the winter does not have to be thick. See what fibers you might still be interested in.

What fabric is the best clothes for the winter?

With each subsequent season, expectations for the properties of worn clothes change. To ensure comfort and comfort, without applying too many layers at the same time – pay attention to the specific properties of each knitted fabric. In winter, natural materials such as merino wool, angora and soft cashmere work best. Warm fabrics for the winter can have a variety of textures and other thicknesses. Few people realize that one of the classic materials, which are associated with lightness and airiness – will also work perfectly in winter. We are talking, of course, about delicate and pleasant to the touch silk, which you can wear all year round!

Silk – is it a good material for the winter?

Silk is a natural material that is famous for its lightness, nobility and its amazing thermal insulation properties. Silk worn in summer, brings solace to the body during high temperatures. Silk cools perfectly and ensures optimal air circulation. An interesting fact is that in winter it performs its task equally well. Silk, like real wool, has thermal insulation properties, which means that they are ideal fabrics for the winter.

The material for the winter from silk is light and at the same time retains heat, without the risk of feeling overheated. A silk dress or blouse will be as comfortable to wear in winter as in summer. Silk clothes can also be an alternative to knitwear for the winter of wool, for which some people may have an allergy. Silk does not sensitize, it is easily pigmented and is generally a very graceful, noble and elegant knitwear to wear every day and for great occasions.

Looking for a warm fabric for the winter – check out what wool offers you!

Wool, although it can only be associated with a thick sweater with a Zakopane pattern, is a universal knitted fabric that can be worn all year round and in many views. Real wool is of animal origin – it is obtained from sheep's coat. Camel wool and goat wool (about which you can read more) are also very popular on the market.

If you are wondering what fabrics to choose for the winter, you can safely put the wool on the podium. Good quality wool has very high hygroscopic abilities. This means that it absorbs moisture from the skin perfectly and is extremely hygienic. A sweater and a wool cap, regardless of outdoor conditions and high humidity – will never give the impression of wet.

What to look for when choosing wool?

Interestingly, wool clothes can be very delicate and thin, while guaranteeing the highest thermal insulation. Wool dresses, sweaters, scarves, hats – these are clothes that will work great in winter! However, if you are looking for a knitted fabric for the winter that will fit well with your body and will not be prone to possible stretching – look for wool knitwear with an admixture of elastane. When choosing wool knitwear, always suggest their composition. The more wool will be in their composition, the better the thermal insulation properties of the material, but also the greater susceptibility to stretching. High-quality wool is not cheap – if you bet on high quality, you have to reckon with the fact that you will pay more, but also clothes will be much more durable.

Cashmere – kashmiri goat wool

Wondering what material to choose from a sweater for the winter? Enjoy elegant and warm cashmere! Kashmir is one of the most expensive (and most expensive) veneers in the world. Depending on the choice of cashmere species – I or II – the price and quality of the knitted fabric increases proportionally. Cashmere I of the genre is an expensive, extremely soft and beautifully shimmering material, from which elegant sweaters and warm winter scarves are made. From cashmere II species more often are produced everyday clothes and more everyday. Cashmere II species will be harder to touch, although compared to sheep's wool, it still has exceptional softness. Cashmere is wool – they have similar thermal insulation properties – they perfectly maintain heat, they will be both airy and comfortable.

Now that you know which fabrics will be the most comfortable, warmest and durable for the winter– check out your wardrobe and winter offer prepared for you by the materials wholesaler. Perhaps due to the upcoming winter season and short, cool days, it is worth supplementing the shelves of the wardrobe with timeless, classic and warm sweaters, bedspreads, dresses and scarves of wool, cashmere and silk?
