We advise what fabrics to use to sew a wedding dress

On the wedding day, every woman wants to look special. After all, it is one of the most important days in our lives. Some of us from a child in the head designed their perfect dresses for the occasion, creating compositions from a clipping from wedding or fashion magazines. After all, after years, this day is coming and we are facing an important choice, which is the choice of wedding dress. Then, first of all, we mean fashion. Long, with flounces, emphasizing bust, with a small neckline, a lot of tulle and maybe a very simple dress? It should be remembered that in addition to the design, the material from which the dress was or will be made is also important. We come to the rescue: What fabrics will work perfectly on this important day?

Guiur – a very elegant variety of lace, distinguished by high-quality material and richer decoration than standard lace.

Lace – a characteristic part is the openwork finish, which impresses with the richness of patterns. In tailoring, they are most often used as decorative elements. They have been fashionable invariably for many years.

Crepe – elastic and soft material, resistant to crease. Crepe comes in many varieties, differing in composition and thickness. Looks great for tight dresses.

Silk – a noble material. Smooth and slippery. Adds shine and looks great. We wrote about the properties of silk here.

Ryps – the material is stiff, rustling and shimmering. Resistant to damage and discoloration. Perfect for wedding dresses e.g. those more voluminous as well as classic styles. Wedding dresses in the letter "A" are often sewn from the ryps.

Muslin – a fabric with an incredible airiness. Smooth, translucent, delicate and soft to the touch. Used mainly for dresses emphasizing shapes.

Organza – thin and transparent fabric, at the same time quite rigid. It is perfect for styles with frills and draperies and high-volume dresses, which at the same time are designed to give the impression of airy.

Satin – smooth and ingaling fabric. Shiny on the one hand and matte on the other. It works well and works well in very elegant, stately, ball-shaped dresses. It is also a good choice for autumn-winter weddings, because it will protect well from the cold.

Chiffon – nice to the touch, light and slightly translucent fabric. Most often used in airy and simple styles. Great for boho wedding dresses, perfect for summer weddings.

Tulle – translucent fabric. Thanks to easy processing, you can create from it very different creations with interesting shapes.

Tafta – quite stiff, light and rustling fabric. It is ideal for all kinds of draperies, bookmarks, flounces and ruffles. It can be firmly or slightly shimmering. It's easy to shape your dress without burdening it.

Jacquard – thick and heavy material, most often patterns are embossed on it. Perfect for short wedding dresses or very sophisticated, retro/vintage ballroom creations.

Zoryta – ingesting, matte, translucent material. Slightly stiffer and heavier than muslin. Perfect for airy wedding dresses.
